Thomas Simon teaches philosophy at Illinois State University, where he also chaired the department. He was the ISU College of Arts and Sciences Scholar of the Year in 2002. He holds a doctorate from Washington University and a law degree from the University of Illinois. His research focuses on global injustices and on minority issues. He regularly consults for the United Nations (Working Group on Minorities) and the American Bar Association (Central/Eastern European Law Initiative).
