Directions

The Robert Green Ingersoll Birthplace Museum is located in Dresden, New York, on the west shore of Seneca Lake off State Route 14 about 11 miles south of Geneva, New York.

The New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) runs roughly east-to-west across New York state from Albany to Buffalo. Midway between the cities of Syracuse and Rochester, NY State Route 14 crosses I-90 at Exit 42.

Take Exit 42 – Geneva and take Route 14 South. Follow the signs through the City of Geneva, then proceed south for about 11 miles. At the flashing yellow light (the only such light on Route 14), turn left. Drive across the railroad crossing; you will enter Dresden on Main Street. The Museum is on your left about 1/2 mile past the railroad crossing.
