Kate Flaherty has written poetry since her high school days. She was born and raised in Boston and served in the Peace Corps in Malaysia. She has lived in Iowa, New Mexico, and British Columbia, Canada. She is retired. Her favorite job was teaching reading and writing to first and second graders. She belongs to two local writing groups and enjoys traveling and visiting her son in Colorado.
