Author: Hans Jansen

Hans Jansen is Chair for Contemporary Islamic Thought at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. In addition to a number of articles and several books in Dutch, he has written two books in English: The Neglected Duty: The Creed of Sadat’s Assassins and Islamic Resurgence in the Middle East (1986) and The Dual Nature of Islamic Fundamentalism (1997). Jansen is also the author of a translation of the Qur’an in Dutch.
