Fabiola Aguirre holds doctorates in law, political science, and psychology. She was a judge in an administrative court in Colombia (the highest post ever attained by a woman), when she was forced to flee because her views conflicted with the Catholic church and the government. For the last thirty-five years, she has lectured on Latin American affairs in American universities.
