Arthur N. Strahler is professor emeritus of geology in the Graduate Faculty of Pure Science at Columbia University. He has authored or co-authored many research papers and textbooks, including Science and Earth History: The Evolution/ Creation Controversy, for which he received the first Morris D. Forkosch Book Award in 1988.
